The Nezu Museum displays pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art that passes on the legacy of passion and respect from its founder. Among the collection of 7400 items, the museum owns seven National Treasures, 87 Important Cultural Properties and 94 Important Art Objects. These include paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, textiles and archaeological specimens, collected from or donated by private collectors.
